<p>We are seeking a highly organized and motivated student or recent graduate with a passion for communicating through new technologies and social media.</p>
<h4>Duties and responsibilities:</h4>
<p>The candidate will play a key role in executing marketing campaigns. Guided by professional marketing veterans, the qualified candidate will gain valuable hands-on experience while embarking on a career in marketing and media.  This is a performance based internship and will follow into a full-time position.<br />
<br />
<strong>The qualified candidate will:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Coordinate meetings and manage project deadlines for clients and internal teams</li>
<li>Participate in the production of online videos, podcasts and other new media development</li>
<li>Draft press releases, plans and memos</li>
<li>Develop content for e-newsletters</li>
<li>Conduct and coordinate research projects and surveys</li>
<li>Participate in internal meetings and brainstorms</li>
<li>Provide administrative assistance</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Applicants should meet the following qualifications:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Current student or recent graduate of a liberal arts college or university; strong GPA and academic credentials</li>
<li>Organized, with exceptional attention to detail</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal</li>
<li>Reliable individual with a professional demeanor; ability to work well with others</li>
<li>Curious about the potential to use technology to communicate in new ways</li>
<li>Must be proficient in Microsoft Office. Graphic design and HTML capabilities are a plus.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Hours and Compensation:</strong> 35 hours per week (Monday–Thursday). A modest stipend will be available.<br />
<strong>Duration:</strong> 2-6 months<br />

I&#8217;m not sure because I refuse to take the time to learn exactly why I should care or how they&#8217;re supposed to help me. One day they appeared on everyone&#8217;s blog like someone flipped a switch. My sense is that if I really needed them, then they would be more obvious to me. Critical technology tends to be more intuitive. I just don&#8217;t see the point &#8211; sorry.</p>
